Positive HR Practices Workshop: Building sustainable workplace wellbeing – March 2020
Friday 20 March: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ACDTUSD $591.91
Implementing positive people practices in the workplace enables leaders and HR professionals to impact and increase the wellbeing, engagement and performance of their people.
This one-day, Positive HR Practices workshop introduces practices that support “positive deviance”, defined as “intentional behaviours that depart from the norms… in honourable ways.” (Spreitzer et al 2003) It introduces key players in your organisation to distinctly positive ways of working with people, to thrive and excel in their jobs.
The practices associated with positive HR focus on the strengths of individuals to harness intrinsic motivation, positive emotion, higher engagement, wellbeing, autonomy and peak performance.
We will show participants how to introduce a range of evidence-based workplace initiatives that will cultivate a positive climate, support workforce wellbeing, and enhance business outcomes.
Capability and skills: Explore positive leadership research and practice, and learn practical tools to support strengths and solution focused approaches
Culture and Meaning: Analyse strategies to foster positive mindset, disrupt deficit approaches and connect workforces to purpose driven actions
People engagement: We will introduce the language and practice of strengths, practice strengths-based conversations and explore business cases that demonstrate the productivity gains that this approach can bring
Application: Participants will leave with strategies they can implement immediately, and further resources to investigate
