Thursday 2 May, 2024

6:30pm – 8:30 pm (Sydney / AEST)

In this presentation Dr Suzy Green will provide an overview of La Montagne’s 2014 “Integrated Approach to Workplace Mental Health” highlighting the potential role Positive Psychology has to play in preventing harm, managing illness and promoting flourishing.  Whilst the promotion of flourishing may seem at first consideration to be PP’s primary role, Suzy will highlight broader applications of PP/POS science in the prevention and management of mental ill health in the workplace.

In this presentation Dr Michelle McQuaid will help us understand the new legal imperative for psychosocial safety in Australian workplaces and how you can use your existing wellbeing knowledge, tools, and support to provide HR teams, OH&S officers, and team leaders with a practical toolkit that helps them to meet these new responsibilities.

In this presentation, Sue will bring together the science behind psychological safety and flourishing, drawing together themes from the previous presentations. We will delve into the importance of courage in creating a psychologically safe environment at work, and how we as individuals can use the science of courage and efficacy to enhance our lives and our workplaces.
