As someone who has struggled to manage my anxiety after being diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder 4 years ago, I can honestly say the ‘Flourish’ programme has been life-changing for me. It was the first time in my life anyone has gone in to the neuroscience behind negative thoughts and emotions and it has completely changed my perspective and how I approach life. I have already started to reframe my thoughts, as soon as anxiety strikes I now rationalise this with what is happening in my brain and this has helped me to manage these negative emotions more quickly. I have started to adopt new rituals within my daily routine such as walking instead of getting the underground and writing a journal before bed. It’s only been a week and I can already feel myself looking at the world in a more positive light. What’s great is it’s simple changes that work.
