  • Spotting strengths in children and encouraging them to do the same

Module 4: Promoting a growth mindset

  • Sharing stories and successes
  • What’s the difference between a fixed and growth mindset?
  • Practicing praise and instilling the mindset children need to persist and succeed in life
Parents and carers who want learn positive parenting strategies as well as those seeking to deepen their knowledge of positive psychology by practicing with their families and kids.
Each session is 50 minutes and you will receive tip sheets, resources and exercises to practice at home, as well as an eBook on Positive Psychology. Attendance in the course is limited to ensure participants have the opportunity to share, contribute, and have plenty of time to have questions answered, share successes, learn with the group, and gain feedback and guidance.
$325 + GST includes four 50-minute classes delivered by webinar and all learning materials and activities.

One-on-one mentoring is also available.

Frances Totney
Frances Totney
Frances Totney is a teacher and parenting specialist who applies positive psychology to cultivate wellbeing in students, parents and schools.

Along with her degree in education, Frances has a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health, specialising in working with students and their parents. She is currently studying a Master of Education in Student Wellbeing with a focus on child development.

In her role as Student Wellbeing Leader in schools she has worked extensively with parents teaching wellbeing skills and supporting them around their child’s learning, social and emotional developmental concerns. She has also designed and delivered resilience, mindfulness and strengths-based training in schools. She currently supports student learning in the Langley Group Institute’s Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing.
